Hello World

Welcome

We've moved to Google Cloud Platform. The Carpenter Software website is under review and and development..., hopefully by the end of December. I've tried to get this online as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience. Jesse Carpenter

Hello! I'm Jesse Carpenter, and I'm glad to welcome you to the Carpenter Software website. I spend most of my time here working on projects that give back to our wonderful community.

I'm especially interested in Arduino projects, mainly using the basic Arduino Uno. I enjoy working on STEM projects, with a focus on robotics. The Uno board has a chip called the Atmega328P, which you can remove and use on a breadboard to learn more about science, technology, engineering, and math. This covers areas like electronics, computer science, and programming in C or C++. Experimental code for the Arduino Uno projects can be found at the GitHub account MageMCU. Robotics often involves math, including algebra and calculus. Once I build a prototype, I move the design from the breadboard to a real circuit board. For this, I use KiCad, a free tool that helps you design electronic circuit boards. It lets you draw circuits, lay out boards, view 3D models, and check files before making the boards.

In addition to software and technical topics, this site features research and discoveries about the Carpenter family's history and genealogy.

You will also find personal articles, news updates, and posts from family members on various topics related to our community and interests.
